This auction is for a SUPER RARE, VERY EARLY ARKHAM HOUSE book, titled "In RE: Sherlock Holmes", Published by Mycroft & Moran (A Subsidary of Arkham House, or more correctly, a part of Arkham), of Sauk City Wisconsin, WI. Author is August Derleth, and with a foreword by Vincent Starrett (and Ellery Queen has comments on the back DJ). ONLY 3000 COPIES PRINTED (STATED), first Edition, 1945, EXCELLENT COLLECTIBLE CONDITION! Hardback, with dust jacket (in protective DJ cover), 238 pages. This is a RARE, Very Early Arkham from 1945. It was the FIRST BOOK EVER PRINTED UNDER THE MYCROFT AND MORAN IMPRINT, in 1945!!! "In RE: Sherlock Holmes" -- The Adventures of Solar Pons, by August Derleth. SIGNED & INSCRIBED by Derleth. I am unsure who it was inscribed to, but it looks like "Agnes B. ConJau". After inscribing it to her/him, it further states ... "Greetings from Baker Street--Sincerely August Derleth".
