4 - 2" Army Air Corps Air Force Pilot Wings Badge Pin You are bidding on four (4) Pilot Wings, these are solid metal (not Sterling) Government Issue Shirt Size wings (2 inches) hallmarked on the back with "G.I.". This Pilots badge design has been in use since World War II Army Air Corps / Air Forces and is still in use today for the US Air Force. The manufacture date for these wings is probably somew in the 80s based upon the G.I. hallmark, but they are identical to those worn in the 1940s by the WWII Army Air Corps. Each has two clutch back pins and fasteners. The first United States Aviator Badges were issued to members of the United States Army Air Service during the First World War .
