This is a very nice enamel painted US ARMY Corps of Engineers 249th Battalion Commander's Coin of Excellence. The 249th has a stellar history, starting in WWII, serving in the Battle of the Bulge & continuing today providing power for our soldiers overseas & in times of crisis at home. They have seen service in Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom & more. The Black Lions continue to be a proud & integral part of the finest military force in the world...US!
