Wow!!! This incredible 2 1/2 inch by 1 5/8 inch challenge coin represents the PERFECT goal of our US ARMY Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers. It has 3d, depth, actual holes through the coin as bullet holes, the Army Seal, the National Guard Seal, the USAR seal, all in the shape of the popup range targets we have all shot at over the years. Every soldier is a warrior, and warriors know how to shoot, but this coin is for our PERFECT shooters. The question is whether you scored PERFECT for your range fire individual weapons qualification, or whether you missed. This actual award challenge coin used in my battalion is a rare and hard to earn prestigious award. The one side features three d with the M-4 Carbine, the M-9 pistol, the M-16 rifle, and the M-249 Squad Automatic Weapon, the infamous SAW. This impressive challenge coin is heavy to the feel, much heavier than the average smaller sized round coin. It has both GOLD and NICKEL plating making the colors pop out at you as you hold it in your hand or as the centerpiece of your display. The US Army Expert Shooting Badge is striking in the center of the coin. The bullet holes through the head and torso of our target add a unique and definitely unusual effect to this coin.
