An Army NCO's Shingunto with olive green painted scabbard, typical spring clip, sarute and obi-tori. The blade and scabbard mouth with matching assembly or accountability numbers [40110] and the fuchi with Koishikawa or Kokura Arsenal symbol. Nagasa/ha-watari about 66.5 cm [or approximately 2 Shaku/1Sun/9.4560 Bu].Provenance: The Property of a Gentleman. From a Private English Collection. The Koishikawa Arsenal [Nippon Teikoku Rikugun Tokyo Hoheikosho] was originally to be found in Tokyo close to where the Koishikawa Korakuen Garden is now located at Bunkyo.
