US troops deployed to Vietnam in the 1960s in uniforms unsuited for the vicious guerrilla war they faced. New jungle fatigues were introduced, based on the paratroop uniforms of WW2. The jacket featured four large bellows pockets, the top two slanted inward at a jaunty angle. This US Army USMC Marine Vietnam ARVN POPLIN Jungle Fatigue COMBAT JACKET is in excellent condition, with only the number "12" having been written at the inside neck at some point in the past (pictured). Otherwise, the jacket is in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or damage of any kind to the tough 100% cotton POPLIN construction. It retains nearly 100% of the original dark OD color, and is complete with all of the original dimpled OD plastic buttons. It's a Size X-Small Regular, and is dated 1967 on the original nomenclature tag inside. A great relic of "Uncle Sam in Vietnam".
