This rare and astonishing piece is in almost perfect condition*. Utterly redolent of the mid 20th century, it's a fine example of modernist art. It's hard to find anything like it on the whole of the internet! Hand painted in bright, vivid glaze on a rich brown background. 'Halling' on the back refers to the folk dance depicted. It was clearly made to hang as it has an integral hook on the back but I think this would make a stunning talking point to hand round hors d'oeuvres or as a dinner table centrepiece. Approx 17 inches by 7 inches and 1 inch deep. Weighs about 640g. The dimensions mean it will be expensive to post so if you can pick up from Hertford or St Albans, or, if you're not in a hurry, Shoreditch, you would save over £6. *A tiny mark on the edge at about 11 o clock, I've tried to show this in the photos
