Clements (1917-2009) and is from Cross county, Arkansas. Mr. Clements owned and excavated the well documented Cherry Valley Mounds and studied extensively along side Greg Perino. His collection and their findings w featured in 1967 in the Central States Archeological Journal. Much of what I will be featuring is well documented and some of it is even pictured. The last picture is of the Clements collection! This spectacular piece is 2 5/8" in length. Made of the Beautifully patanized highly sought after Stunning Crowley's Ridge Cobble chert/flint.Outstanding style and craftsmanship from the Early Archaic period 8,800-7,500 b.p.
