This is an absolutely gorgeous art deco (authentic vintage) piece . the clasp is for 3 strands of pearls - it can be repaired, or you could use the pearls that are left and make it 2 strand ,or even just a pearl necklace with an amazing pendent. The clasp could be made into a ring for your index finger. the gold weight is about 15 or 16 grams. we have 2 strands of of pearls that are 13 inches and 1 that is 15 inches. That's 42 inches total(that would make a perfect 3 strand choker, and it looks stunning) the clasp is the slide insert type. it has a 5 or 6 pt bezel set diamond on the end of the clasp. The pendent pendent has a matching bezel set diamond on it on the opposite side to match when it is put together. There are 4 8pt diamonds each set in a 4 prong setting, The center diamond is about 20 points in a 4 prong setting.(I am not an expert, I am estimating with a sizer I found on the internet so the diamonds could be a little bigger or a little smaller) Each side has 23 or 24 round 2 pt diamonds that are set in the gold. so that brings it to about 1 ct. total diamond weight. The clasp is stamped 14k, but there are no other markings or a maker stamped any where. I bought this from a lady who is 77 and she said it was her moms who died at the age of 94. the pearls are a creamy off white color- not yellow.
