Fabulous Art Deco Sapphire Earrings! For your consideration today: A pair of authentic antique Art Deco/Art Nouveau period white gold dangling earrings with genuine blue sapphires and diamonds. Each earring features 3 old mine cut rich blue sapphires, from top to bottom measuring 3mm, 2mm and 4.5mm for a sapphire weight of .65 carats per ear, total weight 1.3 carats sapphires plus the single cut old mine diamonds accenting the decorative leafy flower part of the design. Marked 375 for 9kt gold, a popular jewelry metal in the early part of the last century. Total length with ear hangers is 5cm and the weight total for both is about 5.25 grams. Nice rich blue sapphires look different depending on the lighting, when lit from behind they look lighter than in indirect light. The tone varies from a medium intense blue to a deep, darker cobalt blue-not quite as dark as Princess Diana's ring - that is Kate Middleton's new ring. In excellent overall condition, especially for being nearly a hundred years old.
