An online copy is available at Domestic(USA)Guarantee .This item is from an estate, being a finished bisque porcelain, hand-painted figurine of a Chinaman holding forward a box-like basket or trunk. It was probably a cigarette box or for toothpicks, calling cards, matches or trinkets..............anything 2 7/8" long as the inside measure has it. He is hand-painted, and gold highlights are used, probably actual gold, as was common then. There are no chips or fractures, but there is some crazing, as may be seen in the photos. The gold trim is wearing down to the porcelain in touch spots, but very little area is effected. The white, black, and gold and the facial expression are all indices of the DECO inspiration..........
