Art Deco Czech Tea Set; Cake Plate, 6 Side Plates, Milk Jug & Sugar Bowl Description Beautiful Art Deco Part Tea Set A sylish set in a very Art Deco combination of yellow ground with black line rims. The set comprises a cake plate, 6 small plates, a milk jug and open sugar bowl. All have "Czechoslovakie" stamped on the base, some also have the pattern number 12780. The cake plate is 10 1/4 inches (26cm) long. The side plates are 6 3/4 inches (17cm) in diameter . The sugar bowl is 2 3/8 inches (6cm) in diameter and 5 5/8 inches (14.25cm) high. The milk jug is 4 5/8 inches (11.5cm) high. The unpacked weight is nearly 2kg, hence the postage. The overall condition is very good as you can see in the main photo (you can Some of the plates have small white areas in the glaze from stacking wear (photo 2). The plate shown top centre in photo 2 has a couple of small scrapes on the rim and a smudge in the black rim line. The plate shown bottom centre in photo 3 has a line on the underside which looks like a shallow firing crack in the glaze. One of the plates has a pinprick (and I mean pinprick) on the rim . As is to be expected with china which is nearly 100 years old, the pieces have some scratches from usage. The set is a very striking example of Art Deco design and looks great on display.
