Amazing art deco buffet with beautiful burled wood. Every visitor to my home notices and comments on it. I am moving to a smaller apartment and must part with this wonderful piece of furniture. Has very unusual curved glass doors on both ends of top section and a marbelised green glass pull out shelf in the middle of the base. The base has two drawers with art deco silvery metal pulls behind one door and a long shelf behind other two doors. T's oodles of storage space Base is 88" wide and 26.5" deep. Top and base together are 59" high The heavy thick doors are burl with rounded edges. This is quality workmanship, well built with dovetailed drawers. Imported from Europe. I was told it was imported from Italy, however the drawer bottoms have the German words for "drawer bottom" written in pencil under the drawers. This is in very good shapefor its age. It is a vintage piece and shows some signs of wear from use and age which add great patina and character. While the signs of wear are apparant if you stop to look for them, the overall effect of the piece is such that hey are not noticed upon first impression. It does need hinges for one bottom door. This is for pick up only. I was asked if the top can be removed from the bottom and I said yes. I checked it again. When the top is removed t are two holes in the base at each end w dowels from the top fit in to stabalize it. Also, the top of the base is not completely flat. If you look at the picture, you will see that t is a rounded piece of burly wood about 3/8 " thick under the top. This is attached to the base.
