Art Deco Floral POOLE POTTERY EGG CUP c1930 Minnie McLeish & Phyllis Allen Description COLLECTABLE POOLE POTTERY EGG CUP Minnie McLeish and Phyllis Allen Art Deco circa 1930 1�" tall Fully marked to base From my research I believe this beautiful floral eggcup was designed by Minnie McLeish and painted by Phyllis Allen who worked for Poole from 1928 to 1935. The impressed Poole backstamp fits in with this time line. This hand thrown red bodied earthenware is decorated to the front and back with mauve and pink flowers and was designed by the sister in law of Harold Stabler of CSA at the beginning of the 1930's. It has the paintress mark on the base for Phyllis Allen . This egg cup is in good confition with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is some unstained external crazing.
