For sale is this very good example of the classic design ART DECO MANTEL CLOCK. The clock has been oiled & the screws that secure the movement have been changed, the case cleand & the chrome repolished. The clock has also been regulated to ensure it is keeping time & run for several weeks to test. The case is oak finished with stepped sides, there are 2 small chips to the veneer one by the door catch & one on the top front both have been toned out & in my opinion not detrimental to the general asthetics of the clock. The dial is rectangular with arabic numbers enclosed by a chrome finished door complete with glass all in good condition. The hands are what I describe as skyscraper design chrome finish. The clock strikes the hours & half hours on a coiled gong via a cushioned hammer. The movement I believe to be GERMAN the back plate has the trade mark which is a clock face with wings either side, it is also stamped foreign & has the initials PP. Sizes length 29cm height 23cm depth 13cm This clock would add value to & enhance any room setting & make a lovely present for someone.
