BEAUTIFUL ART DECO STERLING SILVER & SHAGREEN PICTURE FRAME This is a beautiful Art Deco frame made circa 1920. The high quality silverwork is decorated with Guilloche engravings with openwork in geometrical forms enhanced with attractive Shagreen, see pictures to appreciate exquisite details. The sterling silver mount is surrounded to the opening by ox bone panels of the highest quality. The hinged easel and back has been re-lined with soft green chamois leather, the interior has French beige Moire, fine carved ox bone clasps. It can be used in both positions, see pictures please. It is hallmarked to the bottom ‘950’ and has the silversmith’s mark. It measures 11 5/8” high by 9 ¼” wide and 8 1/8” by full 5 ¾” high wide to the opening; total weight 37.25 oz or 1,056 grams .
