These handmade vintage Japanese beads are a marvel to look at. Each bead has its own individual swirl of sparkling aveturine since every bead is a handmade work of art. 15 BEADS FOR $22.00The handmade tubes are sleek and glossy, and are thicker in the middle and slope gently down at each end. The art deco styling of the aventurine swirls are different on each bead, although they blend in with each other because the differences are minimal, yet the sign that they are handmade is the unique design of each bead.They have a glossy, patent-leather like finish, which, since these beads are circa 1940s, is the result of several layers of lacquer. The beads are in pristine condition (please don't mind the white dust that you may see in the photos, this washes off with warm soap and water easily), and measure approximately 24mm x 10mm, and some are 23mm or 23 1/2mm, because they are handmade, like the delicate swirl aventurine designs, each bead has its own individual personality.These vintage beads have never been used and were stored carefully for many years before I decided to bring them out. They are wonderful for just about any craft project or to make some fine jewelry: earrings, bracelets, necklaces.
