ART DECO Vintage ROYAL VENTON China Preserve Pot BLUE TIT Bird FLORAL EPNS Spoon Victorian and Vintage This is a fabulous china preserve pot crafted by John Steventon & Sons at the Royal Pottery in Burlsem, Staffordshire in the 1930's Art Deco period when they traded under the name of Royal Venton Ware. The pot has a gentle yellow base and is decorated with panels - two featuring delightful blue tit birds; two decorated with an array of flowers in shades of blue and lilac with green foliage; both the birds and flowers are set against white backgrounds with a fine blue polka dot; the detail is fabulous!!! The pot has a geometirc shape with angular corners; the shape is highlighted with dark yellow trims; the rim is circular and also finished with a dark yellow trim. The lid is chrome plated and has a spherical finial; there is a small gap in the lid edge in which a spoon can rest. The pot comes with a silver plated EPNS preserve spoon. This delightful preserve pot would look especially good in a vintage, country cottage or shabby chic setting and would be a real treat on the breakfast table or at afternoon tea with friends!!!
