Stunning & Orig. Art Deco Westminster Wall Clock. Please scroll down below to see all pictures! Origin: France. Date: Around 1940. Brand: Girod. Materials: The clockcase is made out of solid wood and the front is adorned with beautiful carvings. The clock has an 8 day movement, all fifteen minutes it chimes the first strophe (eight hammer on eight iron bars) - there are two different melodies. The clock is equipped with a rare calendar function. There is also a function to switch off the melody. The pendulum window below is adorned with a beautiful silver lining. Measurements: The total height of the wall clock is 22.1" (56 cm). The length of the clock is 18.9" (48 cm) and the depth is 7.1" (18 cm). The dial face measures 7.9" x 9.8" (20 cm x 25 cm). Condition: The wall clock is in very good condition with only light signs of wear. The movement runs fine and keeps the time accurately. It has been serviced by a horologist about 1/2 year ago. The clock comes with the original pendulum and the original wind-up key (inside the clockcase is an attachment for the wind-up key). The clock comes with it's wall-levelers. After shipping a minor revision might be necessary due to the sensitivity of the movement. If you can't do this by your own you will need the help of a person experienced with mechanical clocks.
