A wonderful fantasy scene called THE DREAM by Jules Joseph Lefebura. Measures 16" x 12". Frame measures 17.5" x 13.5". Has some fine line work to depict the female form lost in a dream on a cloud like bed over a pond that is filled with lilly pads and a bird. The print is in good condition with no signs of stains or tears. The back of the frame was paper sealed but has been torn along top edge but is intact. 1-05-2009I was contacted by a viewer who tells me that this is a book plate from 1889. The note also says the artist name was mis-spelled and is LEFEBVRE. I can not confirm this information but thought I should add it and allow others to do their own research.
