Vinyl: VG++ (some might argue for a near mint, but I think it just under this distinction because of some very light surface marks and a very few spindle marks on the labels; otherwise, you have a substantial weight (typical of '50s pressings) platter; super clean record here! Original gloss! Van Gelder engraved (RVG) for sound quality; bold signature sound of this New Jazz record fills the room; excellent instrumentation separation; Mobley and the blasts of Elvin Jones...superb overall playback here!!! this record is a hard -boppers dream, man! Cover: VG ( shelf wear; seams closed but rubbed; 2-inch piece of tape on reverse topside ; as well as some paper loss in personnel list box on reverse - and in liner notes in first paragraph- some ring wear) really annoying flaws, but otherwise read more
