ART NOUVEAU TEXTURED STERLING & RUBY RHINESTONE BROOCH - c. 1900's Up for your bidding consideration is this beautiful Art Nouveau brooch. It has an amazing scroll design which separates the upper hand-tool textured half with the bottom smooth half. Though unmarked, this piece is definately handcrated with high quality craftsmanship. Judging by the slight wear around the edges and on the applied scrolling, it appears to be sterling silver over possibly 9kt gold (does not test as 10kt), or brass. However, it appears to have more of a gold appearance then brass, as it does not have a characteristid brass patina to it. It measures 2 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" long. It has a sterling "C" clasp and is very tight. The many faceted ruby glass rhinestone adds the most amazing finish to this lovely piece. Thank you for looking, enjoy your e-bay shopping!
