ARTEC WSH-12 ACOUSTIC SOUNDHOLE PICKUP TWO-CONDUCTOR / WALNUT COVER / BRAND NEW in Manufacturers packaging MODEL NUMBER: ARTEC WSH-12 WL **FREE 48-HOUR COURIER SHIPPING - MAINLAND UK ONLY** DESCRIPTION: - This is a pickup designed specifically for mounting in the soundhole of an acoustic guitar. Unlike most soundhole pickups, this is a passive, dual-coil humbucking pickup and is thus noiseless. It has an Alnico magnet and Formvar coil. - Also unlike most other soundhole pickups, it allows for individual string volume balance by utilising the 12 adjustable gold-plated screw pole pieces, and has been designed to retain the natural sound of the acoustic guitar. It offers excellent bass and mid-range response, producing a very smooth sound. - It has a built-in cable which terminates in a normal ¼” jack socket, set into a 3-screw end-pin housing. - It has been designed for simple installation, crafted to fit a variety of round soundhole sizes (see Dimensional Specification below), utilising two mounting brackets, one at either end of the pickup. Fitting instructions are printed on the rear of the manufacturers packaging. - The pickup itself is attractively housed in an exotic wood casing – available woods are Bubinga, Zebrawood, Walnut, Red Curl & Maple. OUR COMMENTS - This is a very versatile pickup, and can be easily modified to incorporate it into an existing volume / tone pot set up by simply removing the jack and soldering the wires to the pots as appropriate. It can also be attached directly to your existing external jack (either endpin or jack socket), by simply removing the jack socket, and soldering the outputs of the pickup to your existing jack socket. If you wish to do either of these things and are unsure, please contact us - we can provide wiring diagrams and technical assistance. There are fitting instructions printed on the rear of the manufacturers packaging also.
