Up for auction is Vocalion 38006 & 38007 , two acoustic 12-inch 78rpm records. Arthur Nikisch, conducting the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, plays: Hungarian Rhapsody No. 1, by Liszt (complete on two records). Discs are shiny and unworn. There are a few light marks. Side 1 has two small scratches. Overall condition: E Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse). Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box. This method of packing has proved very effective over the years for safely shipping fragile shellac 78s.
