Ashton-Drake 20 Plastic Display Placards/Signs for store displays of the GENE MARSHALL FASHION DOLL LINE OF PRODUCTS These signs/placards were used by stores to display the Ashton-Drake Gene products. Some of the signs are white, some are ivory, and some are beige. I do not know if they have changed color from age or exposure to light, or if they were originally made in the different colors. The signs provide the name of the doll or item, a brief description, the item/product number, and the original retail price. There are 18 small signs (approximately 2" high x 3.5" wide) for the Gene doll, costumes, and accessories (all different signs). And, there are 2 large signs (approximately 5x5") for Madra (duplicates of the same sign). To my knowledge, Ashton-Drake never offered these signs for sale to the general public. These are fairly hard to find now. These signs provide valuable historical information with the price and item numbers, etc. They can be used with doll displays or just for the information-- A "must have" for the serious Gene collector.
