An Asian Champleve-Enameled Bronze Lidded Vessel � larger photos: � 1 -2 -3 -4 Far East, Japan or China, Late 17th to early 18th century CE. Of tapering pear shape, raised on a tall foot (reminiscent of the archaic Hu form); has beautiful floral and scrolled design throughout border over white and turquoise backgrounds. Handle has figural fish head/water beast terminals where connects to jar. Chop mark on the base indicating the maker. 9"H (23cm) x 6-1/8"W (15.5cm). In near-choice condition with lovely patina on the exposed bronze elements.
