This is a FABULOUS Asian/Oriental Fu Man Chu Nodder. The head goes back and forth sideways and the hands move up and down. These 3 pieces have weighted bottoms. A piece of metal goes through the head portion and the hands have pieces of wood. The material this piece is made from sounds like ceramic when tapped on....but the color is red. Entire piece is painted gold.....a small amount of paint loss on one foot. T are other areas in and around the face w it looks like paint loss but these appear to be intentional. I purchased the nodder at a recent estate sale in San Francisco. I have no idea of its age or if it is a newer piece. The bottom is numbered. Condition of nodder is very good. No chips, cracks or repairs. Measurements are 11" tall, 9" across and 10" deep. Really a wonderful piece! If you have any questions, please email me.
