Asterio Pascolini (1932-2014)Well known Kansas and Missouri artist.Small, but very nice original watercolor titled "Rural Farm".Signed right middle "Asterio '74".Size of the actual painting is ~6" x 8 3/4". UnframedGreat colors. Beautiful untouched original condition.An very nice painting by this very desirable artist!!Auction and bibliographical information on this artist can be found in all major art reference books and on-line sites.More on Asterio Pascolini:Born in Italy in 1932, Asterio Pascolini studied art in Florence and at the Kansas City Art Institute. He started sketching as early as 1945, and most of his techniques were largely self-taught. He came to the United States in 1958 for Hallmark Cards, where he had a long and prolific career as an illustrator and a photo stylist. He became a United States citizen and lived in Kansas City but kept strong ties to his extended family in Tuscany. Over the years, Asterio returned many times to Europe and also traveled extensively in the United States, often traveling through the back roads in the countryside, revisiting his favorite subject matter in nature. Asterio taught workshops and exhibited in galleries throughout the United States. In his lifelong career of art, Asterio mastered acrylic painting, traditional watercolor, collage, pastel, photography, digital design and ceramics.
