A renowned American man of letters was born April 3, 1783, and died at Sunnyside near Tarrytown, N.Y., Nov. 28, 1859. He had poor health caused him to go abroad many times. He was appointed Minister to Spain and Secretary of Legation at London. All upper gilt edge pages, 4 1/2" x 7".
