The Vi rginia & Truckee #28 locomotive carried passengers, mineral ore, and lumber and supplies for the Comstock Lode communities of northwestern Nevada which includ e Reno, Carson, and Virginia City. Many Hollywood western movies were filmed around this area. A portion of the railroad is still in operation today.
