Up for auction is an as-new, never-been-used Athearn SW1500, painted as Western Pacific #1501. The model has been removed from the original packaging one time only in order to give it a test to verify it is functioning perfectly on a test track and make the attached photos. The box and packing are flawless, new condition.The engine is of the updated Athearn quality standards - well detailed with correct scale handrails/grabs/uncoupler levers/hoses/cab glass/antenna/bell/etc; smooth, even Perlman green paint and orange lettering/striping; and a completely detailed cab. The motor is very quiet and gearing is slow and quiet as well. The smooth running, well weighted engine has directional lighting. The model is DC and comes factory equipped with a DCC quick socket for fast, simple conversion to the converter you like. The couplers are factory issue kadee-like, but real kadees can be changed-in with little effort. This is a great running, strong pulling, very well detailed WP switcher in late model colors.Sales to US and Canada only. I use UPS for shipping.
