This auction is a consignment from one of our clients that we sell for. Item up for auction is an Athearn blue box freight car that had at the time of production a special and unique paint job applied by Bev-Bel that other manufacturers were not doing at the time. Car is painted and lettered for the DENVER & RIO GRANDE WESTERN. Car is a scale 40 feet long, it has a single door, and the owner has made several improvements to the car. First the car weight has been painted black in color (some scratches now) and the horn hook couplers have been replaced with Kadee metal working knuckle couplers on each end of the car. Car reporting number is D&RGW #67999. Car data indicates that the prototype for this model was new in August of 1950. Car has all of it's parts and the car comes in an Athearn blue box with a Bev-Bel black ink stamp saying this is item #1030. Item is being offered for a very reasonable price on minimum bid to encourage bidding. For Once the auction is over we would appreciate your payment within 5 days of the auction ending.
