What we have in this NO RESERVE auction: 1 Brand New in Original Box . Box has a Little Shelf Wear. Car is Mint! Atlas " O" 40' Woodside Refrigerator Car. At las Part # 8108-4. Great Northern . We stern Fruit Express Car # 67588. (3 Rail) Limited Edition. Exclusively for P etersen Supply Co. This Car is Highly Detailed! Steam Era Classics. Bob Wagner (1012-1999) Life Member, New York Society of Model Engineers. This Atlas O model is dedicated to a man who loved " O" scale model railroading, espe cial ly the New York Central railroad and refrigerator cars. Begin ning in the mid-1920's , Bob personally measured , photographed and collected data on these "reefers" with special attention given to the "bill-board" style, so popular in the 20's and 30's. Much of his collection is unique and the information , there-in, staggering. From this data, Bob hand -built " O" scale cars that refl ected his attention to detail, even to the point of hand -lettering all of the int ricate artwork. The cars in this series are a tribute to Bob's modeling, his diligent research , and appreciation for detail and accuracy. It is our hope that these models will preserve the model railroadin g legacy that ha s left us as well as saluting an important and colorful era in the history of American railroading.
