INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: PAYPAL ONLY ~ DUE WITH IN 48 HOURS OF AUCTION CLOSE! OLD ESTATE GRANDMOTHERS GARDEN PATCHWORK SEED & FLOUR SACK QUILT ~ NEEDS TLC! This is quite a piece of handwork ! Body is completely hand sewn and quilted at about 7-8, maybe some 8-9 or t too...it was truly fabulous in it's day. The years have faded it some as you can see...the path is green , but very faint. And we have some fray to one area on the bound edge, and also a few (3 or 4) little patch pieces that are frayed within the gardens. Additionally, it does need a trip to the laundry, but we felt it best to wait for repairs to be made before doing so. T are some random storage and use stains and yellowing and t..all of which appear that they will remove with proper modern laundry techniques. This piece is "age soft" having been loved and used through the years. It will most likely withstand a gentle cycle in a washing machine and gentle drying if you prefer to leave as is...t would be further fraying possibly, but the piece is so well made that the balance of the quilt still has many years of life to give even in the neglected state it is currently in. Fantastic seed or flour sack fabrics of many colors and varieties make up the many gardens...white cotton background fabric for the front and back side. I don't believe it is batted...or if it is, it is very thin. We have attempted to show the mentioned issues for you as best we can in our posted photos. Measures in at about 90" x 64" . A beautiful pattern...one we think you will enjoy! Ask questions if you have them...will be carefully packed and shipped promptly upon confirmation of your payment. Insurance is recommended , and not included in the shipping calculator quote. Please do not anticipate that we will "make good" any item damaged by the USPS or UPS systems due to mishandling. If you do obtain insurance, and have a claim, we will provide you with the proper paperwork, but you must proceed from your end with the claim. You may be asked to provide the original box and contents to the USPS or UPS prior to their processing the claim. Failure to do so will nullify their requirement to reimburse you for your loss. Additional Packaging Requests : We have received a few requests to " double box " our items. While we take great care to pack our items normally, we do not generally double box . To do so adds to the weight and expense for shipping. Please be aware that if you make this request, you must do so prior to paying as your invoice must be adjusted to accommodate the additional shipping weight. Do not wait until paying to include a "note" with your payment, as we may then be unable to comply with your request. Please note : We care about your item! We pack carefully, as if it will be our own, taking great care. For this, we incur substantial packing costs associated with proper delivery to you.
