The item you will be bidding on is a boxed set of John James Audubon prints placemats. This boxed set is named "Audubon Gamebirds". This info is printed on the front of the box: "Watercolors from the "Elephant Folio" of artist and naturalist John James Audubon 1785 - 1851 Reproduced on Permanent Plastic Placemat". It also says "reversible, washable 1972 Bright of America, Inc.". This is a set of 6 placemats. Each placemat is a reproduction of an original "Audubon" print and is titled. Here is the list of the prints: "Valley Quail", "Spruce Grouse", "Dusky Grouse", "Sharp Tailed Grouse", "Willow Ptarmigan", and "Ruffled Grouse". Each rectangular mat measures about 17 3/8 " by 11 7/8 ". The box is about 18" by 12 1/4 " by 7/8 ". The box is slightly discolored and has some light foxing on the left side due to its age. The sheet of tissue paper around the mats isn't as white as it used to be (because of age), but it can easily be replaced with a new sheet. Other than that the place- mats appear to be in excellent condition. They don't appear to have ever been used. All of the mats have the same design on the reverse side (see pic #9).
