AUGARTEN HOFBURG WIEN SPANISCHE REITSCHULE LIPIZZANER-"PIAFFE"- #1590-9.5"HYou are bidding on a beautiful Vintage Augarten Figurine of a Lipizzaner Stallion doing the dressage movement called the PIAFFE (high stepping in place without moving forward) with a rider from the world famous Spanish Riding School located in the center of Vienna at the Hofburg Ring where the riders and horses train daily for their annual worldwide tour. The Hofburg is open to the public for viewing the daily exercise and trainingThe figurine was sculpted by Albin Dobrich for the Augarten Factory. The level of detail is fantasic as is the painting of these magnificent figures. These equestrian figurines sell at the school showroom and retail store in Vienna for over $3,000.This figurine is 9.5 inches tall by 8.5 inches long and is doing the dressage movement "Piaffe". It has written on one side "Hofburg Wien ", and "Piaffe - Spanische Reitschule" on the other. It is marked on the bottom with the distinctive Augarten hallmark with Wien written below in blue under glaze and in red Augarten Wien Austria, and the number 1590 and Made in Austria impressed. The figurine is in excellent condition.
