AUSTIN HEALEY 100 This is a scarce EAGLE cutaway [from the centre of the comic] dated 8 January 1954. The accompanying text gives brief details of its production history since it was first exhibited at the London Motor Show in 1952 and there is a key to the numbered parts of the cutaway. These centre page cutaways were a hugely popular feature of the EAGLE comic for many years and focused on the latest developments in aircraft, ships, rail and road transport and weaponry. This Eagle cutaway has been very well looked after indeed. It is clean and bright [no fading at all] and in superb condition. It measures over twenty-one inches long and would look quite spectacular framed on a wall! The original owner has preserved a great many of these scarce Eagle cutaways - including many racing cars.
