World War collectors! is a genuine bayonet and scabbard set for the Steyr M95 series of straight-pull bolt action rifles! This is a FGGY made bayonet and so marked ! It is a Hungarian made bayonet, FGGY being the arsenal Femaru Fegyver es Gepgyar. This bayonet will fit the M95 Stutzen or short carbine which has recently been imported in quantity! BOTH the pieces are in nice overall condition. The bayonet is absolutely gorgeous, mint grips, release works perfectly, very crisp FGGY mark and arsenal acceptance mark on reverse. T is also a tiny 4 on the bottom strap below the release button w the pommel curves. The scabbard has most of its original blue and no major damage, minor finish wear, the frog stud has been arsenal brazed as they usually are. It has no markings. The M95 series was the main rifle of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in World War One and used by many nations in BOTH World Wars. The rifles were given to allies of Austria and produced in several countries. Additionally, the rifles and bayonets were given to victorious allied nations of WWI as war reparations, and so saw service with many countries in WWII!!! This is a gorgeous piece and one of the nicest Model 1985 sets you will come across!! I may have other M95 items listed too, please look!
