LARGE Natural Gold Nugget Authentic Oregon Placer Gold This NATURAL GOLD NUGGET is one of the remarkable pieces that my father panned from the Applegate River in Southern Oregon several years ago. I have been told that his naturally occurring piece of NATIVE GOLD is between 21 and 23 Karats. This specimen is much larger than some of the other that I had placed up for auction and is quite a remarkable find! This LARGE NUGGET piece would make a stunning pendant or piece of jewelry, or a unique addition to your collection. Quite a beautiful find! My dad gave me a small handful of these remarkable pieces to help pay for the expenses of graduate school, but don't know much about gold or its value. I don't have a scale so I don't know what they weigh; my only form of measurement is a ruler, which every notch indicates 1/16".
