STUNNING ANTIQUE FRENCH MAJOLICA RAT WITH AN UMBRELLA PITCHER FROM THE POET LAVAL FACTORY C 1880-1900:Antique French Poet Laval pitcher, in the South East of France, called Rat with umbrella.The jug is molded in the form of a white and grey rat dressed as a man with a tailcoat, a bow tie and a trousers holding an umbrella.The handle is made with the rat's tail.White and burgundy inside.Numbered in hollow under the base 256, underlined, like all the production from the Poet Laval Factory.You can see the same pitcher in the reference book of Maryse Bottero "Pichets en barbotine"and also on the web site:/#Size: 8 1/2 inches tall and 6 11/16 inches wide from the spout to the handlePERFECT CONDITION,NO CRACK, NO CHIP, NO DISCOLORATION, NO STAINColors are intense and gorgeous.
