old authentic "folding war sickle"used mostly in Afganistan, Pakistan, Indiaoriginally dates back to Mughals (Babur Empire - Uzbeks in India) 20cm folded30.5cm unfolded just grip16cm blade- 345 gr -This sickle is 30-40 years old and very authentic with shape and motives engraved on metal surface and bone grip.The upper part of the grip (housing of the blade) is brass while the lower part consist of wooden, bone and brass.The iron blade and bras/bone grip are engraved by hand with motives (see picts).It can fold as seen in the picts when pushed the locking rods (grip safety systems). The lock of the blade is loose. To lock open the blade the tip of the rod is to be drawn back slightly. Apart from that, it is solid and in very good condition with some wear of use. It is used as harvest tool at peace as well as as a fatal weapon at face-to-face war. Very authentic item in your Oriental room.
