Los Angeles Police Department "Distinguished Expert" Shooting Medal Offered today is a Distinguished Expert shooting medal, often referred to as "DX". This is the highest level of shooting qualifying you are able to obtain, with only approximately 100 or so officers currently ranked with this qualification. The "Distinguished" portion of the medal is V.H.B. Sterling (as indicated on the reverse). The "Expert" portion is 1/20 10K G.F. And the "Los Angeles Police Dept" with crossed 38 revolvers portion of the medal is 1/20 10 KT. This is a wonderful item and would be a great addition to someone's LAPD collection!
