This is an authentic animal mask of the Ogoni in Nigeria probably used in the 60s. It's a very interesting piece. T is some loss on the lower chin which is not really noticable from the front view also one of the horns has been broken and reattached (see last photo) 19 inches. Stand not included. I am moving soon and must reduce my collection so tfore will be listing many African art pieces as well as a variety of other items in the coming weeks. The African art will be varied as t is a mixture of authentic tribally used pieces of which I will state in the listing as well as earlier collected pieces which fall more into the decorator market of which will not say authentic in the listing, although t are several pieces in t that I just can not tell if they are the real deal or not and could be a treasure to those who know the difference.
