Here is a great set of three 100 % authentic vintage U.S. Military awards. ********A note of caution: There are a couple of web sites out there that are selling reproductions or "knock offs" of these medals for about $29.00 each so "buyer beware!" ********** Each of these authentic medals comes in it's own original presentation case complete with the original bar ribbon and lapel pin. THE DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS: Is a military decoration awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the United States Armed Forces who distinguishes himself or herself in actual combat in support of operations by heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight. THE BRONZE STAR: Is a military decoration awarded for acts of heroism, acts of merit, or meritorious service in a combat zone. When awarded for acts of heroism, the medal is awarded with the "V" { for valor}. Please note the Bronze Star in this listing has the "V" on both the medal ribbon and the bar ribbon. THE AIR MEDAL: Is a military decoration awarded for meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. Subsequent awards of this medal are indicated by bronze stars on the bar ribbon. { Please note the Air Medal in this listing has three additional stars on the bar ribbon}.
