Nicely Sealed in Clear Plastic for Easy Display! The Lead shot was recovered from a ship wreck site of the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet. Lead Balls of this type were ammunition for early hand guns such as the Musket or Pistol. The Ships of the 1715 Spanish Fleet were well armed for their transatlantic voyage from Cuba to Spain, since they were loaded with a rich cargo of Treasures accumulated in the New World. On July 31, 1715 Several Ships of the Plate Fleet were driven by a fierce hurricane onto the treacherous Florida Reefs and Destroyed along the Coastal area of FL and into the Sebastian FL area as well.
