You are looking at a pair of authentic WW2 practice bombs. Each weighs about 2 pounds, and is 8 in. long. They have identification numbers on both sides. They are actually the Mark 23 miniature practice bombs These used a shotgun shell size spotting charge in the nose which ejected a smoke signal out the back of the bomb. These more or less duplicated the flight path of a real bomb and were used for training during WW2 at bombing ranges all across the country. Here is a nice piece of WW2 history.
