This advertising sign for Marinello cosmetology products is approximately 7 inches wide by about 11 inches tall. It is an art deco era Marinello advertising sign that shows the vendor as an authorized distributor of Marinello products. I have two separate listings for this sign available.The Art Deco era was the height for Ruth Maurer and her Marinello company and The National School of Cosmeticians. By 1923 Marinello products were being sold in department stores and drug stores as well as from the thousands of Marinello shops throughout the United States. By 1925 there were 12,000 active beauty shops in the United States, 6000 of which, it was claimed, used Marinello products exclusively. There were also ten schools teaching The Marinello Way and two factories producing Marinello products.I could not find similar signs online either for sale or simply photographed and posted online at sites such as on Pinterest and I believe that this sign is rare.
