Daniel François Esprit Auber (1782-1871) ORIGINAL AUTOGRAPH ALS (Autographed Letter Signed) dated 1852". 1pp in French. Auber is a very prolific French composer whose greatest success was "La Muette de Portici" Opera 1828 which laid the foundation for what became the French Grand Opera of Meyerbeer and Rossini. On the other hand his "Fra Diavolo" Opera Comique 1830 was the forerunner of what is known as French comic opera.. He wrote 45 operas. UNCOMMON & RARE DOCUMENT!!!
