Hughes (swore Lyndon Johnson into office on Air Force 1 following President Kennedy's Assassination. Only woman to swear in a U.S. President. FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: Eisenhower 6-cent stamp. Mounted on Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force letterhead. SIGNED "Oveta Culp Hobby (first Commanding Officer of the Women's Army Corps (WAC). FIRST DAY OF ISSUE: Eisenhower 6-cent stamp.
