Here is a very rare copy of Na Prelomu by Josef Martinek, and it is personally autographed by the author. The book was published by Oxford Press in Michigan in 1945. It has soft paper covers and 39 pages of anti-Hitler poems. Illustrated with four cartoons. According to one authority, there are only 10 known copies. Since that was written before I bought this one at a local flea market, this may be number 11. The book is autographed on the first page, just inside the front cover. The book measures 7.5 inches by 5 inches. It has been lightly used, and has a solid binding, all pages and no significant tears or stains. Josef Matinek was a Czech native who lived in the United States during World War II. He remained committed to Czechoslovakia, and ardently opposed its occupation by the Nazis. He had an outstanding career in Cleveland politics and later wrote for Radio Free Europe and the Voice of America. He died in 1980. I have more information on him and will include it with the book.
